    • A severe pain that interrupts your sleep

    Causes

    Generally, adult people experience this type of pain due to facet joint osteoarthritis, which is additionally known as degenerative arthritis or osteoarthritis of the spine. You experience this condition when the cartilage between the facet joints breaks down badly. In the early stage, you may suffer from mild pain, but over time, it may lead you to severe condition.

    Symptom: Leg pain that happens when you are standing and walking upright.

    • You may find difficult to walk, but do not experience leg pain
    • You may suffer from severe lower back pain.
    • You may get relief from lower back pain immediately after sitting down.
    • In the early stage, you experience mild pain, but over time suffer from severe pain.
    • Tingling, Weakness, and numbness in the lower back, buttocks, and legs.

    Causes

    This type of pain is caused due to Lumbar spinal stenosis or degenerative spondylolisthesis. When your spinal stenosis puts too much pressure on the nerves and you feel difficulty in walking, standing, and sitting too.

    Symptoms: Sudden onset of back pain

    • Deformity and disability
    • Sudden onset of back pain
    • Height loss
    • Lying on one’s back makes the pain less intense
    • Standing or walking will usually make the pain worse
    • Limited spinal flexibility

    Causes

    Older adults usually experience this type of lower back pain because of compression fractures. This is usually experienced by women with osteoporosis in the period of post-menopause.
